For the more adventurous, hiring a car is a must. This way you will definitely get to visit all the popular and most beautiful spots on the Island. Driving on our islands is on the left and we use a similar highway code to most European countries.
Driving in Gozo is fairly easy. You will hardly ever come across any traffic on the Island other than in Victoria during peak times. No village is far away from Victoria, the capital of Gozo. There are parking areas in most places however in others parking time zones are made available. Make sure you use the blue parking clock (made available by the car hire company or from the local tourist office), note your time of arrival and place it on the dashboard where it is visible.
To complete your stay to the Maltese Islands why not board the ferry for a 25 minutes crossing to mainland Malta. Malta is full of rich historical places, great sights and a variety of entertainment for the whole family.
For those who prefer to be in a chauffeur driven vehicle, a day or half day tour can be tailor made to suit the individuals interest, another great way of seeing our beautiful islands. We will ensure you do get to see the best places before you leave.
The rock formation of our islands is fascinating and there are many hidden coves that one cannot get to by car. Therefore taking a boat trip will enable you to view our islands. Take time out by exploring our islands by sea, a very relaxing way to take in the scenery. Various trips are made available such as all inclusive boat trips, private charters, fishing trips and self drive boats!
The Island of Gozo is great for cycling enthusiasts. There are a lot of off road areas and tracks that you can be sure to be having a lot of fun, fresh air and also it is a good way to keep fit after eating all those delicious Gozitan delicacies. Bicycles are available to hire unless you decide to bring your own! ( You can store at the Arches farmhouse).
